NC Harp Ensemble 2026–2027 Season

Join the North Carolina Harp Ensemble for the 2026–2027 season, culminating in a featured performance at UNCSA Harp Day on February 20, 2027, at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) in Winston-Salem, NC.

The NC Harp Ensemble offers professional harp ensemble instruction for pedal and lever harpists of all ages and skill levels. Under the direction of Jacquelyn Bartlett, Professor of Harp and Chamber Music at UNCSA, ensemble members will rehearse on the beautiful UNCSA campus and prepare exciting repertoire for a culminating performance.

Participation Options

Concert Ensemble

Fee: $180
Harp: Lever or pedal
Level: Beginner (at least 1 year of harp study and fluent note-reading skills) through intermediate

The Concert Ensemble rehearses from 9:30–11:30 AM on October 17, December 5, January 16, and February 13, and participates in and performs at UNCSA Harp Day on February 20, 2027, from 10:00 AM–6:00 PM (Full Day) or 1:00 PM-6:00 PM (Half Day).

Registration deadline: September 27, 2026

*All participants must also register for UNCSA Harp Day with a participation fee of $75 by February 1, 2027.

Advanced Ensemble

Fee: $180
Harp: Pedal harp only
Level: Intermediate through advanced

The Advanced Ensemble rehearses from 9:30 AM–12:30 PM on October 17, December 5, January 16, and February 13, and participates in and performs at UNCSA Harp Day on February 20, 2027, from 10:00 AM–6:00 PM (Full Day) or 1:00 PM-6:00 PM (Half Day)

Harp Day Ensemble (registration through UNCSA)

Fee: $75
Harp: Lever or pedal
Level: Beginner (at least 1 year of harp study and basic note-reading skills) through advanced

The Harp Day Ensemble MEETS ONLY on February 20, 2027 at UNCSA Harp Day from 10:00 AM–6:00 PM (Full Day) or 1:00 PM-6:00 PM (Half Day) and participates in the day's educational activities and performance. Learn more and view the schedule here.

UNCSA Harp Day 2027

The North Carolina Harp Ensemble, led by Jacquelyn Bartlett (UNCSA Artist Faculty) and Grace Ludtke (UNCSA Alum), together with the UNCSA Harp Studio, are excited to host UNCSA Harp Day on Saturday, February 20, 2027.

UNCSA Harp Day will serve as the culminating educational and performance experience for the NC Harp Ensemble’s 2026–2027 season.

What is UNCSA Harp Day?

UNCSA Harp Day will be held on the beautiful campus of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, NC. Harp Day is an exceptional celebration of the harp, and a day filled with learning, inspiration, and stunning music! All participants will perform on the day’s closing concert as performers in the harp ensemble! Additionally, there will be a technique seminar and masterclass led by Jacquelyn Bartlett.

What to Bring to Rehearsals

  • Your own harp

  • Your own harp bench

  • Your music organized in a black-binder

Music stands will be provided.
